Application Guidelines for International Students for Academic Year 2025
- Department of Culinary Arts
- Number of applicants: 20 (for international students)
- Eligibility for Application
Foreign nationals who meet (1) or (2) and (3) of the following criteria
- Minimum of 12 years of formal education (primary and secondary) or its equivalent in a foreign country.
Completion or expected completion by March 2025. - Those who are recognized by a University as equivalent to (1) above and have reached 18 years of age.
- JLPT N3 or above or equivalent.
- Minimum of 12 years of formal education (primary and secondary) or its equivalent in a foreign country.
- Application period: Applications are accepted at any time until the end of March 2025.
- Selection date, place, and method
The following procedures will be conducted at any time after the application form is received.
- Date of selection: Any time
- Place of selection Kyushu Bunka Gakuen Culinary School or a place designated by the school
- Selection method: (1) Essay writing (2) Interview (3) Document review Selection will be based on a comprehensive evaluation of the applicant's character, Japanese language ability, and willingness to study.
- Announcement of acceptance
After the entrance examination, the result of acceptance or rejection will be sent within 15 days, and the applicant will be notified.

- Application form (in the format specified by the school)
* Identical 3cm x 4cm photos of the applicant's face, taken within the last 3 months, without hat and no background. (one copy attached to the application form, one copy to the resume, and three copies enclosed with your name written clearly on the reverse side)
- Resume (in the format specified by the school)
- Certificate of graduation from the last school attended
- Transcripts from the last school attended
* In cases that the original language is other than Japanese or English, a Japanese or English translation must be provided, and the translated content shall not differ from the original. Please attach a certificate from your school, embassy, or other official institution certifying that the translation is accurate and true.
- Entrance examination fee ¥10,000
- Transcripts, etc. certifying Japanese language proficiency level 3 or above
- Documents showing the ability to pay expenses
(certificate of bank balance of the relative or the applicant, certificate of employment, etc.) - Medical certificate
- Copy of passport (showing photo page, name, etc.)
- Copy of resident card (front and back) *Only for resident card holders
- Application form (in the format specified by the school)
- Notes on Application
- Incomplete documents will not be accepted.
- Documents will not be returned once submitted.
- The paid application fee is non-refundable for any reason.
- If any irregularities are found in the procedures or application materials, etc., the acceptance of the applicant may be cancelled.
- Tuition and Fees
- Admission fee ¥50,000
- Tuition fees are ¥650,000 for Year 1 and ¥650,000 for Year 2. (Payment can be made in installments.)
- Material fees, etc. Year 1: ¥240,000 Year 2: ¥130,000
